how long is it supposed to it take for scabies rash to go away?

Dr. Michael Ein

See below: 5% Permethrin is applied over the entire body from the chin to the toes and left on for 8 to 14 hours before washing off. The treatment is repeated 1 week later. After your first Permethrin treatment is completed you can try some calamine lotion and some solarcaine to the areas that itch the most for symptomatic relief. The rash and itching can last over a week after the start of treatment.
