Stye: A stye causes swelling of the eyelid. It may look like a pimple or boil. Treatment is applying warm compresses. If swelling or discomfort don't gradually improve, consult an ophthalmologist.

Don’t Panic: Stye is a localized infection of the eyelid. This can be relieved with topical antibiotics in a few days. Localized swelling as you describe is a common effect and may benefit from warm compresses. Try to determine how,the infection originated, such as rubbing the face in an animal’s fur, to,prevent reoccurance.

Check-up: How high is fever? What colors is drainage from nose? There could be many causes. Illness in children is most likely a virus and symptomatic control is usually all that is needed. I would advise you to a make an appointment with his pediatrician if you are concerned.

See an eye doctor: Swelling and pain around the eye may be caused by an infection. If left untreated, it can potentially get into the eye socket and even the brain. Your aunt should be evaluated by an eye doctor immediately.
