Not to any extent: It may be healthy, but it really doesn't cause you to lose a significant amount of weight. Don't believe everything you hear on tv or read on the internet. Drink it if you like it, but use the unsweetened.

Green tea : Is safe for daily consumption. It does have caffeine so it may stimulate you if over consumed. It is also high in antioxidants.
