Take with food: Do not take the medicine on an empty stomach and it sometimes is helpful to take medicines such as antacids that are used to treat gastritis. Many people can take Plavix (clopidogrel) without problems. Some of the medications can interfere with the action of the Plavix (clopidogrel) so consult your physician.

See a doctor: Upper respiratory infections are usually caused by a virus and they are usually gone after 5-7 days. If symptoms are persisting for over 7 days its time to get an doctor's examination. Sometimes a viral URI will develop a secondary bacterial infection which will be relieved with prescription antibiotics. A doctor can also swab the throat and check for streptoccocal infection.

No: Not a wise combination. Can decrease the efficacy of Lisinopril and increase the incidence of kidney toxicity.

Aspirin: My personal opinion is aspirin. Still have to worry about stomach upset and ulcers. Getting positive cardiac effects plus pain relief.

Hormonal Rx: The original research for hormonal preparations was an effort to find something that would control the pain & cramping associated with menses. As the research progressed & they found it helpful, they also found ladies weren't getting pregnant. So bcp's become more popular for their side effect than their original use. Ocp/bcp's can help. Discuss with your dr.
