A 26-year-old female asked:
I've had so many laser sessions on my face throughout my 20s, why isn't the root of my hair dying? i have also been using eflornithine cream twice a day & the hair still grows long & thin (but very visible).

hair is resilient: Eflornithine cream can reduce the amount unwanted facial hair, but it takes 6 to 8 weeks to be effective, and the hair returns within 8 weeks. Laser therapy and pulsed light removes hair, but is not always permanent and requires periodic maintenance treatments. Electrolysis can permanently remove hair when done correctly, but its slow and uncomfortable and can occasionally cause scarring.
