Possibly : It is certainly possible that it is a stress fracture. Also consider shinsplints which is much more common. Various types of tendinitis and some nerve pinching phenomenon can also create a similar symptom. Ice, rest, stretch, elevate. If it’s worse with weight-bearing or continues, see an orthopedist.
