Be cautious: A complication of flu is a serious pneumonia. If you find you need to use your pump more than 3X/day you need to contact your doc & go over your symptoms.Keeping well hydrated & properly nourished is critical to getting past the flu with the least problems.

Treat inflammation: During and after a viral illness, there can be inflammation in the respiratory tract. Using nasal saline sprays to reduce post nasal drip may help to relieve cough. I would advise monitoring your temperature and notifying your PCP.
Treating inflammation with inhaled or oral steroids may be required in some patients depending on the severity of your symptoms.
