hi 12w 6d preg.nt & blood test say very high risk for trisomy 21 is 1:32. i'm 29 with healthy 4 yr son. nt 3.3mm,elevated b hcg 3.584 mom. so worried?

Testing weaknesses: Screening tests are meant to select out those at higher risk so more expensive specific testing is more cost effective. There is test called the NIPS which can take your blood as early as 10 wks & do several studies, including a chromosome test to confirm or exclude any chromosome defect. A high level ultrasound can usually find any NT defect. I would consider seeking these to quiet your fears.
