A 45-year-old female asked:

My 21 daughter saw a gi dr for possible infection ( which she had ) he also did some blood work and found that her immunoglobulin a was very low (59). he doesnt seem to be concerned but i read on line it could be immune pr. or leukemia! so worried!

What kind: Of immunoglobulin? It may be the type that indicates immunity or low probability of certain infection, hence the non- concern by the GI doctor. Given what you described, unlikely that your daughter has an immune problem nor leukemia, wish you both wellness
