Diet and Exercise: You can't target weight loss from a specific area, but loosing weight in general will help. You need to burn more calories than you consume. Watch your diet-eat healthy, cut out junk food and exercise several times a week. If your stomach is what you're unhappy with, you can tone up the muscles-sit ups are a good way to start. Anything that uses your abdominal muscles will add tone.

Belly fat and carbs: Abdominal fat increases your risk for heart disease. It is most related to carbohydrate intake rather than just junk food. Eat a low glycemic diet with more veggies, fruit, lean protein, nuts and grains like brown rice, quinoa, millet and oats. Belly fat can also be seen with lower testosterone in men, adrenal fatigues, and menopause. Take a look at diet and your hormones for best results.
