Burning pain: Sounds like an infection usually caused by bacteria. With the burning pain and elevated nitrites, I suspect a sexually transmitted disease or urinary tract infection. Have your doctor culture the urine and test for gonorrhea and chlamydia. I would also test for trichomonas which can sometimes cause these symptoms. Urgent action needed and if positive, all partners should be treated
