If elevated liver enzymes were a result of damage from a tumor, would it be possible for the enzymes to fluctuate from abnormal/normal if untreated?

Don't think so.: It is difficult to give a good answer to your question with the limited information. If the liver function are slightly elevated it is possible that it may vary between normal and abnormal ranges. I would guess that it takes about 2 to 6 weeks for liver functions to return to normal after an acute condition. When cirrhosis develops in chronic liver disease the liver enzymes will gradually decrease
