are beets one of the best food to lower high blood pressure?

Beet lower BP 10mmHg: Hallo Jimmy, One cup (250 ml) of beetroot per day will lower your blood pressure over a period of a month. Whether it is the best vegetable or food to lower your blood pressure, I don't know. Leafy greens, bananas, berries and oatmeal will lower your blood pressure sooner. However, none of these foods will lower blood pressure more effectively than proper blood pressure medication.
