Notice a red spot on gum by tooth. been there a couple weeks. not circular, small line. no pain. cant stop focusing on it. saw dentist 7 months ago. cleaning and x-rays fine. what could this be?

May be nothing: If Your dentist examined you and did not say anything, if X-rays don’t raise any questions, if there is no swelling and no pain or discomfort, then, in my opinion don’t worry. You may have that spot before and never noticed it, and now that you are paying more attention to your teeth and gums, you are focusing on it. Just mention in it to your dentist on your next visit ( normally very 6 months !)
