Worse ????????: Your tolerance to any physical activity during pneumonia is likely to be poor and I would expect you to tire quickly. You may feel worse but there is little evidence that you make the pneumonia worse. Bringing up retained mucus after breathing deeper is expected. Your body is telling you to rest so it can concentrate on the work of healing.
