obgyn suggested elective induction at week 39. i weigh 58kgs, 1.57m tall, and the baby is in good health at 2.9kgs. is this a safe option?

An option: Some women prefer to be induced and some do not. IF there are medical issues or problems in the pregnancy often induction is needed. For elective inductions one should consider the cervical dilation and status. Discuss the benefits with your doctor who can guide you through your unique situation
