Bleeding: ovulation?: On occasion, and more so after age 30 onward, there will be a "double ovulation" of two eggs, which will produce twice the estrogen as a single ovulation. Since estrogen drops suddenly just prior to release of LH (which is what is positive with the ovulation test), you will have some bleeding from the estrogen withdrawal. You can still attempt pregnancy, however, best time 24-48 hours after peak.
