my husband donated blood today and now, about eight hours later, his arm was slowly bleeding after taking off pressure band. he put the band back on.

Bleeding: Keep pressure on the area for another 8-12 hours. Does your husband have a history of bleeding disorder or is he taking anticoagulant,aspirin,Aleve type medications which increase bleeding tendency? If bleeding isn't controlled take him to the emergency room.
