my daughter is overseas, far from medical assistance and is coughing up green/yellow/off white colored phlegm, she has a fever and is sweating. someone has given her an antibiotic called clavamox (amoximox). not getting any better.

Hard to speculate: If she had a simple that med would be appropriate and helpful.Without a review of x-rays, lab and patient exam it is difficult to say much more. If that med is not helping it may either be targeting the wrong germ and need something different or be treating the wrong condition altogether.

A cold: It is probably just from a cold but a bacterial infection becomes likely if the fever is >102 degree. If the symptoms get worse or persist over 10 days, she will need to consult a doctor. Whereas Clavamox is likely ok , it is also likely unnecessary if her cough has just started a couple of days ago.
