Internal Medicine 61 years experience
Dermatologist: The rash must be examined by a physician or dermatologist in order to make a diagnosis. The presence of itchiness suggests an allergic reaction although some viral illnesses may have an itchy rash. Finger tenderness may be part of the skin reactive state.
