Wisdom Teeth: Your wisdom teeth are not needed and may interfere with the successful outcome of your treatment. Your orthodontist will ultimately decide how your care will be performed. You may insist, but they may also decline to treat you.

Wisdom teeth: Wisdom teeth can interfere with Orthodontic treatment or change your occlusion after treatment if they over-erupt. Whether they are planned to be a functional part of your orthodontic result or not, this is something that should be discussed with an Orthodontic Specialist before committing to treatment. More often than not they wind up being afunctional at best, problematic at worst.
