can healthtap physicians prescribe medications for mood (anxiety and depression) during a text chat?

1 doctor answer
Dr. Robert Kwok
32 years experience Pediatrics
Usually not done: Many things are possible in life. That said, psychiatric medications are usually only prescribed online if a doctor has already seen the patient in-person for evaluation, and is providing ongoing care to the patient with some visits online (text chat, audio chat, video chat, etc...) and some visits in-person. You currently have posted on our free, public forum where medical care is not provided.
