i have a 1 year old daughter that has a bump on top of her head since she was born will that effect her in the future or is this normal?

Hard to say: The description is too vague to get an understanding of what it is you are asking about. A bit more on size, shape & location might help, but since an exam would give more data I would just bring the issue up at her next doc visit.
