A 48-year-old male asked:
Doc switched my Lisinopril 40mg once daily pill to Lisinopril 20-25 HCTV. Typically, does this work better to lower high Bp? And is High-K (V-8) safe?

Diuretic: Yes it does and it is frequently needed to achieve control. Diuretics are fist line medications for high BP. Taking V8 replaces potassium and would not be recommended if only on lisinopril since that also retains potassium but as you start the diuretic combination it is actually a good idea.
