Paresthesias: which is fancy word for tingling and numbness on the face can be associated with 7th nerve neuritis without muscle weakness. Typically it is some variant of a migraine, though our knowledge of causes for neuritis is sketchy at best. A neg CT will not rule out multiple sclerosis, which HAS to be ruled out. MRI would be the tool to do that. I would press for the MRI to rule out MS. Good luck
