My friend had the flu, she had a fever, it been 5 days, she stated she fine now, if im around her can i get the flu?

Maybe not: If she has any symptoms at all, she is contagious (and I bet she still has some symptoms, if she had influenza, which normally lasts 10 days). With influenza you are contagious 10 days, with tamiflu taken you are contagious at best 9 -9.5days (if you are one of the few it works for). The flu germ can travel 10 feet in a cough! So I would be careful. Also get your flu shot if you have not yet.

Nobody really knows: Nobody really knows when one person stops being contagious with influenza. One week out from the start of the illness (one can count from the first day of fever, aches, or cough) is safe, unless a person had a more severe illness or still has a lot of cough or sniffling. In a more severe case, one can wait longer, such as until 3 or 4 days after no fever nor excessive cough.
