Varies: For most patients it will be a few days, can be up to a week depending on your medical history and social habits (drinking alcohol and smoking).

Heal from extraction: Very tough to answer without knowing all the particulars of your health and immune system. Always hard to define a "uncomplicated extraction." since what one may define as simple, may not actually be so. Were there stitches involved? Why was the tooth extracted? Which tooth and did it already have infection involved or not? I ,would call the dentist/OS whom extracted the tooth.

Uncomplicated Tooth: Extractions. If patient has no major medical issues like diabetes, it is rare for infection to occur after a week but it takes about 3 weeks for the soft tissue to fully close and 6 weeks for the bone to fill in. That said, the extraction site can be seen on an X-ray for up to 1 year.
