My adult friend says his bone marrow is now solid and he has leukemia. what does this mean in terms of progression of the disease or treatment outcome?

Leukemia: By that I think he means that his bone marrow is extensively infiltrated by leukemic cells. Some forms of leukemia, even with such involvement, can respond to modern treatment. His hematologist or oncologist is best qualified to offer a prognosis as they would know the cell type of your friends leukemia.
