I have had a abscess like area in my groin for about 5 years. GPs keep prescribing antibiotics, but it does not seems to help at all. What can I do?

Have it drained: If it is truly an abscess then it needs to be surgically drained.

PProbably: He probably has hidradenitis supparativa also called acne inversa and apocrine acne. He should see dermatologist to discuss treatment options.
