What details will be included in stool DNA test result? does it mention found mutations

1 doctor answer
Dr. Richard Roberts
45 years experience in Pediatrics
None: the test does not identify specific mutations. It is either positive or negative for blood and DNA mutations acquired over time in cells lining the intestinal wall which may be associated with colon cancer or precancerous lesions. It can not identify heritable mutations associated with increased risk of colon cancer.
