It doesn't: Bursitis is an inflammation of a bursa, a pocket of tissue lying next to a bone. Bursitis does not cause cracks in bone (fracture). If you truly have a fracture, you need to find out what caused it and if there is an underlying defect of bone such as osteoporosis or other conditions.

Never: Bursitis is an inflammation of a bursa. “Crack” in the bone is a fracture. You should make sure to see a board certified Orthopaedic Surgeon to clear this up. Has potential for a bad outcome if there is a fracture of the hip.
