Local public health: It's not possible for a distant forum doctor to know the answer. I'm sure information is availalbe from local health department or other city, county, or state offices. If in doubt, boil water for drinking. Good luck!

Cannot be sure,,,: This may be like when a water main has broken. Brown water may come out, even after the problem has been fixed. In this case, the water system may be overwhelmed, so it would be wise to drink bottled water or other drinks, and just use the tap water for washing as long as it appears clean and use plenty od soap while washing. Best of luck.

Tap water safety/Hur: Your Health is Precious! Hurricanes, especially if accompanied by a tidal surge or flooding, can contaminate the public water supply. Water in the hurricane-affected area may not be safe to drink Please contact Local Health Departments whether the tap water is safe for drinking.

Comfort vs risk: Water births are touted for those foregoing pain medicine, especially epidurals. They provide weightlessness, and can help patients manage labor pain better. However, if one chooses to have a water delivery, there can be problems including increased risk of infection, problems with managing the perineum or the head during the delivery, and aspiration, with severe consequences for the baby.

There are a lot of people requesting this form of delivery. I think it is a personal choice and should be made with the help of the provider. I have found an objective article from Web MD I put on my web page. I have personally seen where laboring in the water helped with pain relief but every mother is different. http://kevindausmd.com/links.html

What can I do to ensure the cleanliness of my drinking water when I am traveling?

Water safety: Good question! limit yourself to bottled water, ask for good local brand, sometimes drinking water warm versus cold can kill lots of parasites. You can boil your water, let the sediment sink, decant water into new container and then drink. Avoid asking for ice in your drinks as many times made from unsterile water. Careful also with salads and fruits. If camping you may use portable tablets. Best!

Does your body get used to the fitness if you run every night?

Yes!: You will accommodate and will not have to work as hard so you will not get as good of a workout. I am a big advocate of hiit (high intensity interval training) and recommend you add hill work or some sprints to your workout to challenge yourself - 30 sec sprint with 90 sec jog works well x 8. This workout also enhances natural secretion of growth hormone and increases your resting metabolism.

Take your pulse: At some point during peak exercise stop and take your pulse. Count the heartbeats over 10 seconds (and multiply by 6) or 15 seconds (and multiply by 4). This will give you beats per minute, which are the units to measure heart rate.
