Care for wound: Be sure to care for the wound with a thorough cleaning. Monitor the location for redness, swelling or discharge that would indicate infection. A rabies booster is thought to protect you for about 2 years from exposures in that timeframe if you completed the primary series in the past.

Nothing really: The Immune Globulin given soon post exposure can cause a fair amount of local pain but the vaccine is well tolerated and you do not need to avoid anything.

Uncertain: We really are not 100% certain. Cdc feels--if high risk--test every 2 years (e.g. Vet working in rabies zone) latest who consensus is every 10 years. In general, if continued risk, recommend periodic retesting titers though immunity may persist even when antibodies are no longer detectable. Cdc rule? If the titer.

Well...: If you get the complete post-exposure series then the NEXT time you are exposed you are given only 2 shots and no immunoglobulin. If it has been more than 20 years since first series then the whole series will be given again.
