Painless: Very easy to have this test as in most cases you will be anesthetized. The only issue is the preparation which involves taking a type of laxative to clean things out prior to the doctor have a look.

Not painful: You are given medicine to sedate and relax you for the procedure. The worst part of the procedure is the preparation prior to the colonoscopy. You will need to clean your colon out so the procedure will be accurate. So no plans night before procedure because you will be using the bathroom quite often. Also I recommend clear liquids a day or two prior to the preparation for the test.
