Help for bump: using a warm compress for 15-20 min several times a day might help it come to a head. You can take an anti inflammatory such as Motrin OTC as well which may help alleviate some of the pain/swelling. If it gets worse, see a doctor since you may need antibiotic or for it to be drained. Good luck!

Can't see it: If it is an acne bump start washing your face while in the shower with a face brush and salicylic acid wash. If this does not resolve see your doctor for prescription topicals and possibly laser skin care to control your acne. We have excellent technology to control inflamed oil glands, clogged pores, blemishes, and scars. Acne may come from increased stress, lack of sleep or hormone changes.

Extraction: Adult acne in females is primarily hormonal. Visit your dermatologist to get these extracted or injected with cortisone shots. Your dermatologist can prescribe creams/pills to keep your acne in check.

Scalp Folliculitis: Folliculitis is an infection in the hair follicles. Each hair on your body grows out of a tiny pouch called a follicle. You can have folliculitis on any part of your body that has hair. But it is most common on the face and scalp and areas rubbed by clothing, such as the thighs and groin. Scalp folliculitis is usually caused by a bacteria called staph and is treated with oral antibiotics.
