Blueish bump: Without looking at it, it's difficult to make a diagnosis. If it's a recent lesion, it could be a small blood blister, but other possibilities include hemagioma, hematoma or a growth. To be sure, have a physician or dermatologist examine you.

Yes: Yes, though it's a hassle and can get uncomfortable. If you're going to be pumping regularly, you probably want an electric pump.

Is it common to have a sore arm after donating blood a month ago?

Dr. Stuart Hickerson

No: If you donated blood a month ago, you should not be having pain. This would most likely be from phlebitis or irritation to the vein. I would have someone take a look at this or call the facility that drew the blood.

Pinched nerve: Pinched nerve at the wrist (carpal tunnel syndrome) is a common cause for such symptoms. However other causes of peripheral neuropathy should be considered and ruled out by history, physical exam and some blood tests. Diabetes, thyroid disease and some medications are common causes. I suggest you discuss with your pcp.
