Overexertion?: Hard to tell without examination. May just be muscle soreness from the lifting that may settle. Suggest see a doctor for physical examination if not settling

Possible : Any form of physical exertion which is not done regularly can cause muscles to be sore . Try paracetamol, rest and they should settle down. If not improving then see your GP .
