RICE treatment helps: Based on your description, it sounds as though you are having a problem with an isolated bone and its surrounding joints as opposed to generalized bone pain and swelling. The bone must be evaluated for any trauma specific to it. This may include x-ray along with a clinical history. Since your "RICE" treatment seems to be working, continue with it until you can be examined, hopefully soon.
