Easy Rx: One regimen is ketoconazole 400 mg orally once a month, work up a sweat for several hours after you take the pill. This might be more convenient and cheaper than covering yourself with various lotions daily. Not everybody can take ketoconazole; ask your physician.

Tinea Versicolor : Use selenium shampoo daily. A dermatologist may prescribe topical or oral antifungals if the condition worsens.
