Abdominal bloating,: May be unusual intestinal virus or could be food poisoning with camphylobacter as that has a waxing and waning presentation( usually diarrhea as well) . Do you have diarrhea? Would also check for H. pylori and keep a food diary to see which foods, if any are associated with the problem. f/u /w doc over 48-96 hours.

Recovery: Probably your GI tract wasn't totally settled to have such a 'relapse' -I wonder if you were kind enough to yourself (no alcohol, proper sleep, proper food)?Sometimes people rush themselves to get back to a 'normal' lifestyle, but that could be unhealthy such as McDonald's cheeseburgers or something that you're not ready to digest. Healing takes time, especially with a high severity of illness.
