Cold or Flu: Green mucus discharge from the nose or eye can be a sign of a viral or bacterial infection. Severe discharge can be cultured to evaluate for a bacterial infection which should be treated with an antibiotic. Sleep, rest, fluid; consider tamiflu (oseltamivir) if md agrees; vit d (protected sun exposure in the southern states in the winter works naturally; in the northern states, sugarfree vit d works.
