Both my kids have a viral infection. they were prescribed amoxicillin and prednisolone. their body temp is reading 96f auxiliary. is this normal?

Odd treatment: Viruses don't respond to antibiotics, so it is unclear why they are being used. Axillary temps are generally at least a degree below core temperature. I wouldn't consider it anything bad.
