A qualified yes: By definition, gestational diabetes is diabetes that appears during and is confined to a pregnancy. Since it indicates a predisposition to full-blown diabetes, your chances of developing diabetes in 3 months or even later is definitely increased and is not unusual.

Gestational diabetes: Gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) is high sugar levels with its onset (or first diagnosis) during pregnancy and usually resolving shortly after delivery .Most women will apparently recover after the pregnancy but with about a 1 in 2 chance of recurrence in a future pregnancy . A woman who has had gestational diabetes has an increased risk (50-60%) of developing type 2 diabetes in the future.

Period is 4wks late..Iv had pregnancy symptoms but neg blood&urine. Could it still be pregnancy? Waist increased 1inch since last week.

Unlikely: If all testing negative, i doubt it. You may have simply not ovulated last cycle and that is why you are so late. Are your periods normally regular? Check with your obgyn and good luck.
