how much/ ounces of meat would be an appropriate serving at dinner for a 6-7yr old? (feeding disordered. need #, not "feed them, they'll eat") thanks.

2-3 ounces: Children lose appetite if you put too much food on their plate. Usually the meat should be half to 2/3 the size of the palm of their hand, which is probably about 2 ounces. They can do fine with no meat at all, as long as you are careful to include vegetable protein and other sources of iron.
