Bleeding: A hymen is stretchable. In the however unlikely event it is stretchable to accommodate a regular size penis, the question of bleeding will occur would be mute. So, bleeding and pain is likely to occur. Once the pain has subsided after the first intercourse and there is no pain during subsequent intercourse the hymen was completely broken, if not, it may take several more attempts.

Yes: Most women will have some bleeding the first time they have intercourse with an intact hymen. An Ob/Gyn can do an exam and tell you if the hymen is in-tact. Although the presence of the hymen is traditionally taken to be a mark of virginity, the truth is that not all women are born with hymens. You know if you are a virgin or not and in a good relationship, there is trust. Best wishes!
