Other symptoms?: Your child has a fever if:
The rectal temperature is over 100.4F (38 Celsius). For children less than 4 or 5 years old, the rectum is the best way to check for fever.Or the ear temperature is over 99 F(37.2 Celsius). You can use an ear thermometer if your child is over 6 months old.-Or the temperature taken by mouth is over 99.5F.
need to know the symptoms for deciding if she needs to go to ER.
