Needs further workup: The symptoms are suggestive of Reflux and Gastritis. In such cases it takes a long time for the lining of the stomach to heal after it becomes inflames therefore symptoms will ease over months. However if the symptoms are persistent or getting worse despite medications you may need further workup such as blood tests and possibly a gastroscopy. You could have developed gastric or duodenal ulcers.
