No: Shortness of breath is not a symptom of pregnancy.Later in pregnancy, the enlarged uterus can restrict your ability to take a full breath and you may feel SOB as a result.

Not usually: Hi!
Most commonly, a missed menstrual period is the first sign of pregnancy. Other symptoms often include fatigue, nausea, vomiting, breast tenderness, or just feeling "different". Shortness of breath by itself would not suggest pregnancy (although a home pregnancy test can be used as early as 9 days after conception). Lots of causes for shortness of breath; a good start is CXR and an ECG.
