July 23rd i had a cyst rupture. my period was due july 29th but did not come until august 3rd. can i still ovulate on regular schedule? or later?

Depends: I'm sorry to hear that you had a cyst rupture. I've heard that's extremely painful. Having a delayed period could be due to stress or other factors but this doesn't mean you can't ovulate. Please take into consideration that you have 2 ovaries. I would see an obgyn for follow up. Best of luck!!

Sometimes ruptured: cysts do not release an egg (ovum) and the normal hormones that follow normal ovulation might be messed up in this cycle. Altho only time will tell, most likely you will soon cycle normally. Keep in mind that 5 days late is still a pretty regular cycle. Best wishes. Dr. Anne.
