after stopping bcontrol & taking metformin 500 mg once a day i got a period. its a little lighter than usual. still has clots though. is this normal?

PCOS: Yes, I will assume based on your medications that you have PCOS and either pre-diabetes or diabetes. Taking metformin, losing weight or improved fitness will improve insulin action which will allow the ovary to function more normally. Be aware that you will be more fertile than you were and you may need to be more cautious if you don't want to conceive.
